Foldable steel feet swivel out to add a stable base while you pump, and they fold back up for compact storage. You use your feet to pump, and there is an indicator-style pump head that takes the guesswork out of wondering if the pump head is truly attached to the valve. When the handle is up the window is green, meaning it is ready to lock onto the valve. When the handle is down, the window is red, meaning it is NOT ready to lock on.
